Long image splitter

Split a long image vertically by count or tile height. Keep its original width with no overlap or missing rows. Preview and export PNG, JPEG, WebP or ZIP locally.

Static JPEG, PNG and WebP. One image, up to 20 MB and 16 megapixels; maximum width 8,192 and height 30,000 pixels.

Images stay in this browser and are not uploaded. Refreshing or closing clears your selection.
Split settings

Split from top to bottom, preserving width. Height-based splits retain the final remainder. Each part is limited to 8,192 pixels high and 16 megapixels, up to 50 parts.

Source and cut guides

    How to use

    1. Choose an image

Choose a static long screenshot or image.

    2. Set the splits

Enter a part count or segment height, review the cut guides and select a format.

    3. Download results

Review each output preview and size, then download individually or as a ZIP.

Split a long screenshot into separate images

Turn a scrolling screenshot, a long tutorial or a tall product visual into smaller images for sharing. Split by count for roughly equal heights, or by segment height when each image needs a maximum height.

    Example source: 1080 × 6000 pixels

    Equal parts

    3 parts

    Output sizes3 × (1080 × 2000)

    Fixed segment height

    2500 pixels

    Output sizes1080 × 2500 + 1080 × 2500 + 1080 × 1000

    Splitting into 3 parts produces three 1080 × 2000 images. A height of 2500 produces 1080 × 2500, 1080 × 2500 and 1080 × 1000 images. The final remainder is kept.

The tool keeps the original width and every row, in order. Use PNG to preserve decoded pixels and transparency. It does not automatically detect paragraphs or subjects: review the cut guides before exporting, or adjust the segment height.

    Common questions

Will the bottom rows be lost?

No. Equal splits use continuous pixel boundaries; height-based splits include all remaining rows in the last segment.

Will splitting resize or stretch the image?

No. Outputs preserve the source width and pixel positions, with no overlap between parts.

How do I keep transparency and sharpness?

PNG preserves transparency and decoded pixels. JPEG / WebP are re-encoded at your selected quality; JPEG fills transparent areas with your background colour.

Why won’t my long image load?

Check format, size and pixel limits. Only static JPEG, PNG and WebP are supported; HEIC, GIF, SVG, animations and damaged files are rejected. Your browser may also be unable to decode a file.
