Resize several images without cropping
Use the longest edge for a consistent maximum size, a bounding box to fit inside a website image slot, or a percentage to scale a whole batch. These modes preserve proportions; they do not crop images into an exact square.
Example source: 2400 × 1600 pixels
Longest edge
1200 pixels
Output size1200 × 800Fit within a box
1200 × 1200 pixels
Output size1200 × 800Percentage
50%
Output size1200 × 800All three settings produce 1200 × 800 pixels for this example. Portrait images keep their own proportions. Smaller originals stay at their original size unless you enable enlargement.
Choose PNG to preserve transparency, or choose a background for JPEG. Resizing changes pixel dimensions; a smaller file size is not guaranteed. Use the image compressor when file size is your main goal.
Common questions
How do PNG and JPEG handle transparency?
PNG and WebP can retain transparent areas. JPEG requires a solid background, using your selected colour.
Will resizing crop or stretch the image?
No. Images are scaled proportionally to a longest edge or bounding box. Bounds are maximums, not a forced width and height.
Are HEIC, GIF and animations supported?
This version supports static JPEG, PNG and WebP only. HEIC, GIF, SVG and animated images are not supported. If your browser cannot encode WebP, select PNG or JPEG.
Will converted files be smaller?
Not always. Size depends on content, format and quality. Lower quality may lose detail. Conversion re-encodes pixels and may remove metadata or change colour appearance.
